چکیده
Plasma treatment offers an approach to enhance the nitrogen (N) content of livestock slurry and biogas digestate, thereby increasing efficacy organic fertilizers. This innovative method is used produce nitrogen-enriched fertilizer (NEO) containing a double concentration plant-available N. Over three years, we conducted comprehensive study in 14 spring wheat barley field trials Norway. The primary objective was assess compare cereal grain yield achieved by applying NEO other conventional utilized our research derived from unit developed Norwegian company N2 Applied. results indicated that 120 kg N ha−1 yielded same range grains as 95 mineral fertilizer. Moreover, combination untreated 55 Opti-NS NEO. Surprisingly 12 at sowing day 108 three-leaf stage led higher than spread two out experimental years. directly plants has shown no visible signs harm. Lastly, filtering resulted yields slurry. In conclusion, despite possessing content, utilizing 15–20% lower Nonetheless, 20–30% more native amount cattle it derived. However, have observed unexplained loss approximately 17% NEO, which does not translate into increased or productivity.

represents considerable thrips pressure. We present the data from yellow traps only to show that many thrips were present in the greenhouse throughout the trial. In the absence of predators, the number of thrips per plant increased consistently throughout the trial to reach 39.28 per plant in the final week (table 1). All treatments significantly reduced thrips numbers (P < 0.05) compared to th...
متن کاملA cereal-based evening meal rich in indigestible carbohydrates increases plasma butyrate the next morning.
Epidemiological studies have shown an inverse relation between a whole grain consumption and risk of type-2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. One tentative mechanism relates to colonic metabolism of indigestible carbohydrates. In a previous study, we reported a positive relation between colonic fermentation and improved glucose tolerance. This work can be seen as an extension of that study, ...
متن کاملBiochemical methane potential of different organic wastes and energy crops from Estonia
The biochemical methane potential (BMP) of different Estonian substrates as alternative sources for biogas production was studied. For this purpose, the BMP test was carried out in batch mode at mesophilic temperature (36°C). Substrates were divided into 2 groups: agricultural substrates (silage, hay, cattle and pig slurry) and food industry residues (milk, brewery and cereal industry residues)...
متن کاملAmmonia emissions from pig and cattle slurry in the field and utilization of slurry nitrogen in crop production Doctoral Dissertation
Volatilization of ammonia (NH3) from animal manure is a major pathway for nitrogen (N) losses that cause eutrophication, acidification, and other environmental hazards. In this study, the effect of alternative techniques of manure treatment (aeration, separation, addition of peat) and application (broadcast spreading, band spreading, injection, incorporation by harrowing) on NH3 emissions in th...
متن کاملGreenhouse Gas and Ammonia Emissions from Slurry Storage: Impacts of Temperature and Potential Mitigation through Covering (Pig Slurry) or Acidification (Cattle Slurry).
Storage of livestock slurries is a significant source of methane (CH) and ammonia (NH) emissions to the atmosphere, for which accurate quantification and potential mitigation methods are required. Methane and NH emissions were measured from pilot-scale cattle slurry (CS) and pig slurry (PS) stores under cool, temperate, and warm conditions (approximately 8, 11, and 17°C, respectively) and inclu...
